This was my main work in an unfinished project, Story of a Tank.
In this cellshaded adventure, we would drive our tank across the dessert with our little team of three, exploring ruins, fighting an unknown enemy and surviving while maintaining and upgrading the tank.

Starting with the desert shaders, the landscape is driven by a complex material that uses several layers and also has a very nice and subtle wind effect, to show the dust blowing over the ground. It was a challenge to get the glitery sand right but, the end result with the post process ended up pretty nice.
Rocks cliffs and, almost anything really, is driven using the handy dandy "Boundingbox UVs" to create some nice gradients to get that stylized look to everything, darker on the base, lighter on the top.
And then we have the fresh and nice water, my first aproach to stylized water, and Im quite happy with how it looks. I also added a nice waterfall option to it, depending on the inclination of the water planes, to change between different water speeds.
And last but not least, the Cell Shading post processing. We would have loved to have proper cellshading materials (Like my GoK Character Shader) but given our resources, we couldnt afford it.
I also made a very nice cloud shader so we could have tank shaped clouds!
This project was very fun to work on and the team was very into it and it was very sad to abandon it. I would like to return to it at some point to make some upgrading.
